Sweta Khandelwal

Sweta completed her Masters in Law from the University of California, Los Angeles and her JD from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University in India and has been practicing law for 15+ years getting visas, green cards, and citizenship for 1000+ clients, 100+ companies across 50+ nationalities.

Sweta has been recognized as a ” Super Lawyer, Rising Star,” and as amongst the ” Top 40 under 40″ immigration attorneys in California (American Society of Legal Advocates). She is also the recipient of the Advocacy Award by the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Sweta is also a chartered accountant — the equivalent of a CPA. This makes her uniquely positioned to understand the immigration needs of her business clients in the broader context of their corporate objectives.

Sweta is actively involved with immigration issues and immigrant communities in various capacities. She has assumed key roles at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), both at the local and national level. She has been a past chair at the Santa Clara Valley Chapter at AILA and has also been involved in various practice area committees at AILA National. Sweta has addressed multiple conferences/forums in the United States and worldwide on immigration and business issues.

Our Team

Nilima SinghSr. Immigration Paralegal

Nilima has over 10 years of experience in both business and family immigration, particularly H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, PERM’s, Family-Based Visas and Adjustment of Status. Originally from the beautiful Himalayan country of Nepal, Nilima moved to the U.S. when her spouse won the Diversity Visa lottery. Nilima’s family is an example of the role of immigrants in building our community and nation: her spouse has been on active duty in the U.S. Navy. Nilima earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology at the Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, in Nepal.

Danny Baez Legal Assistant

Danny has been a legal and administrative assistant for more than 5 years. He is currently pursuing an associate degree. Danny is a San Jose native, born and raised here. His father is originally from Mexico and his mother is part Italian. Danny is fluent in Spanish and English. He is the only brother to five older sisters and fits wonderfully in our women-majority office!

Gloria Chacon Marketing Specialist

Gloria brings more than five years of marketing experience with firms and businesses across the nation. She is responsible for the firm’s media efforts and outreach. Originally from El Salvador, she is a public relations student at San Jose State University.

Namrita Khandelwal Strategic Advisor

Namrita, a leader in industry and an entrepreneur herself, advises our office on business development, customer experience and marketing across multiple platforms for our rapidly scaling practice. Namrita has spent 14 years in various leadership roles in Mondelez, McKinsey, PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory, Hewlett Packard and her start-up. She holds Economics, MBA & MPP degrees from Delhi University, Faculty of Management Studies and the University of Pennsylvania. Namrita has worked in 20 countries and traveled to more than 50 countries in 6 continents. She supports our diverse office and international clients with her unique global perspective.
